Standing Power Throw: This event measures explosive power. Hand-Release Push-Ups: Unlike traditional push-ups, soldiers perform hand-release push-ups, where they lift their hands off the ground at the bottom of each repetition. Soldiers throw a 10-pound medicine ball backward over their heads as far as possible. Sprint-Drag-Carry: This event combines several movements, including a 50-meter sprint, a 50-meter drag of a sled, a 50-meter carry of two kettlebells, and another 50-meter sprint. Leg Tuck: Soldiers perform leg tucks by hanging from a bar and bringing their knees to their chest. It tests agility, strength, and cardiovascular endurance. The test measures lower body strength and endurance. This event focuses on core strength and stability. Deadlift: Soldiers perform a deadlift using a hex bar, lifting weights that correspond to their body weight. Two-Mile Run: The final event is a timed two-mile run, which assesses cardiovascular endurance and aerobic capacity. This event assesses upper body strength and endurance.

This can be done using an online calculator or a mobile app designed for the ACFT. Input Your Scores: After completing the ACFT, soldiers should enter their scores for each of the six events into the calculator.

Hand-Release Push-Ups: The number of successful repetitions performed within a two-minute time frame is counted, with more repetitions leading to a higher score. Standing Power Throw: The distance thrown is measured, with longer throws resulting in higher scores. Two-Mile Run: The total time taken to complete the run is recorded, with faster completion times resulting in higher scores. The weight is adjusted according to the soldier's body weight, with a higher weight yielding a higher score. Deadlift: The score is based on the maximum weight lifted. Leg Tuck: The number of successful leg tucks performed is counted, with more repetitions yielding higher scores. Sprint-Drag-Carry: The total time taken to complete the entire course is recorded, with faster times corresponding to higher scores.

As soldiers age, the time standards are adjusted to account for the natural decline in physical performance. The scoring is based on a point system, with soldiers earning points for their performance relative to the established standards. For instance, the maximum time allowed for male soldiers under 22 years of age is approximately 45 minutes, while female soldiers in the same age group have a slightly longer maximum time.

Time Efficiency: The real-time scoring feature saves time during training sessions, allowing soldiers to quickly assess their performance without the need for manual calculations. This efficiency enables more time for actual training and preparation.

By analyzing scores, leaders can tailor fitness programs to address specific weaknesses, ensuring that all soldiers meet the Army's standards for combat readiness. Additionally, the ACFT serves as a tool for leadership to identify soldiers who may need additional support in their physical training.

Each event in the ACFT is scored based on a soldier's performance. The scoring system is designed to provide a comprehensive assessment of fitness levels across the six events. Each event is scored out of 100 points, with the total possible score being 600 points.

This feature encourages continuous improvement and accountability, motivating soldiers to strive for higher standards. Goal Setting: The ACFT Calculator 2026 includes goal-setting capabilities, enabling soldiers to set personal fitness targets based on their current performance.

This case study outlines the essential gear needed for the ACFT, ensuring soldiers are adequately prepared for the challenges ahead. As the test has evolved, so has the requirement for specific equipment that soldiers must have to successfully complete each event. The Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) is a comprehensive assessment designed to evaluate a soldier's physical readiness and overall fitness.

This can foster a supportive environment where soldiers motivate each other to reach their fitness goals. Community Engagement: The ACFT Calculator 2026 may facilitate community engagement by allowing soldiers to share their scores and progress with peers.

This article delves into the ACFT calculations, breaking down the test components, scoring, and its implications for soldiers and the Army as a whole. Introduced to replace the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT), the ACFT aims to provide a more comprehensive assessment of a soldier's physical capabilities, focusing on combat readiness. The Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) has been a pivotal shift in how the United States Army evaluates the physical fitness of its soldiers.

Hand Release Push-Up: In this event, soldiers perform push-ups with a hand release at the bottom position, emphasizing upper body strength and endurance. The score is based on the number of push-ups completed in two minutes.

Firstly, it emphasizes a holistic approach to fitness, recognizing that physical readiness is not just about strength but also endurance, agility, and flexibility. This shift encourages soldiers to develop well-rounded fitness regimens rather than focusing solely on running or push-ups. The introduction of the acft deadlift score and its calculations has significant implications for soldiers and the Army.
